The visited link color in Minerva (#5a3696) is quite close to the color of black text (#222). The distance between the two colors is (described as a Delta E value) is 28.9. Compare this with the ΔE between the blue link color (#36c) and black text: 41. While we don't currently have UI guidelines for what constitutes an acceptable ΔE between two text colors, we might assume the ΔE between our blue link color and our black text color to be somewhat of a baseline (41), and then conclude that a 12.3% drop in ΔE is problematic.
Steps to view issue
- visit https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissection#History on desktop or phone
- scroll to the India sub-section, and click on the "Arthashastra" link in the second paragraph
- click back and check out how "Arthashastra" (now rendered in the visited link color) blends into the black text around it. When scanning the page it does not stand out from the other text as a link.
