Gather the right people to start a project about Voice and Tone in wiki UI
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Gather people from Communications, UI Standardization and Design Research teams to discuss a project to manage voice and tone within the UI of wiki projects.

We found a lot of phabricator tickets that fall under this larger umbrella, and want to ensure there is a team to receive and attend to them.

Unfortunately, I don't think this initiative is going anywhere, @Purodha. Although @aripstra might have more information.

Since I only in part seem to understand where this initiative is aiming, it might be a step forward to collect then "lot of phabricator tickets that fall under this larger umbrella." @aripstra: can you do that?

As to the possibility to have audible versions of UI texts and messages, I am willing to contribute spoken versions in my native languages.

@aripstra: Could you elaborate how exactly this task got "resolved"?

What does the resolution mean for the Voice & Tone Phabricator project (which was requested + created in T107593), in comparison/contrast to T40638 (which might also get turned into a tag in T140077)?

Hello @Purodha the phabricator tickets have been gathered, and there was a team started about a year ago (on the Communications team) who were going to sort through all the tickets and organize them into themes, or categories to better understand what the mass was about.

There have been a bunch of changes since then, and I need to catch up with what is going on with the project and who currently is working on it. I will be able to do that next week possibly, or the week after. As soon as I find out more, I will write a note with what I learn then.

@aripstra: Any news/status to share?
