An edition of The Wrath Valley anthology (1981)

The Wrath Valley anthology

epigrams and poems

short satirical poems reflecting local speech about persons in the haworth (bronte!!!) area of west yorkshire,in the early 1970's. a sequel followed in "grindley's bairns". these two volumes excepted, shaw's poetry is more complex. robert shaw was born coventry 1933 and is often confused with actor robert (actually archibald) shaw and robert b shaw. he was long based in yorks, pioneered poetry & jazz, edited the yorkshire review and was widely published in periodicals , appearing at many festivals and on bbc. he also a professional jazz sax player. his wife anne was a studio potter in haworth from 197-88, with exhibitions in uk and usa.
