Subbudaya

kelompok tertentu dalam kebudayaan lebih besar yang membentuk budaya tersendiri

Subbudaya ialah sekumpulan orang dalam budaya yang membezakan dirinya dari budaya induk yang mana ia dimiliki, sering memelihara beberapa prinsip pengasasnya. Subbudaya mengembangkan norma dan nilai mereka sendiri mengenai hal-hal kultural, politik dan seksual. Subkultur adalah sebahagian daripada masyarakat sambil mengekalkan ciri-ciri khusus mereka utuh. Contoh subkultur termasuk hippies, goths dan bikers. Konsep subbudaya dikembangkan dalam kajian sosiologi dan budaya.[1] Subbudaya berbeza daripada kaunterbudaya.[2][3]
