About me

I love programming; I've known it since, as a little girl, some people on the IRC helped me figure out how to build talking bots to trick online harassers. I live in Asturias, Spain, between the sea and mountains. I have been lucky to travel and work abroad most of my professional life. I am now transitioning to a life in the countryside, where I can continue to code while being closer to other of my passions: hiking, gardening, trees and fungi. I also love music, storytelling and art.

My work

I am part of the Abstract Wikipedia team, a project that aims to create a language-independent Wikipedia using Wikidata and Natural Language Generation functions. As part of this, we have built Wikifunctions, an on-wiki library of code functions to support Abstract and other Wikimedia projects. Tech is never neutral; my goal is to bring anti-colonial and feminist critical thinking into any tech spaces that I can occupy.
