Copyright extends to works of science, literature and art that are the result of creative activity, regardless of the purpose and dignity of the work, as well as the way it is expressed. (English)
Copyright extends both to published works and to unpublished works that exist in any objective form: written (manuscript, typescript, musical notation, and so on); oral (public utterance, public performance, and so on); sound or video recording (mechanical, magnetic, digital, optical, and so on); images (drawing, sketch, picture, plan, drawing, film, television, video or photo frame, and so on); volumetric-spatial (sculpture, model, layout, structure, and so on); in other forms. Work: is a phenomenon that is created through knowledge, art or the initiative of the creator without taking into account the way that it is said, appeared or created. (English)
The original works of authors shall be protected that are fixed (without taking into account the value, quality, purpose or the mode of its expression) in one of the tangible mediums of expression that is known now or means that will be developed later, which are perceived, reproduced or communicated in a different way either directly or with the aid of a device. The expression “literary and artistic works” shall include every production in the literary, scientific and artistic domain, whatever may be the mode or form of its expression, such as books, pamphlets and other writings; lectures, addresses, sermons and other works of the same nature; dramatic or dramatico-musical works; choreographic works and entertainments in dumb show; musical compositions with or without words; cinematographic works to which are assimilated works expressed by a process analogous to cinematography; works of drawing, painting, architecture, sculpture, engraving and lithography; photographic works to which are assimilated works expressed by a process analogous to photography; works of applied art; illustrations, maps, plans, sketches and three-dimensional works relative to geography, topography, architecture or science.
