Quantitas variabilis,[1][2][3] brevius variabilis tantum, in functione vel aequatione mathematicae est quantitas cuius magnitudo non constat, sed secundum alias condiciones mathematicas determinantes variare potest. Quantitas variabilis ergo differt a quantitate constante.
