Why can't download or update WhatsApp?#
In case of a problem downloading WhatsApp, you need to check:
- Free space in your device's memory;
- Compatibility of the app with your Android device;
- The availability of the app in the country;
- Other possible errors.

Clear free space in your device's memory#
If WhatsApp is not installing on your smartphone due to lack of free space, try clearing cache and deleting temporary data.

If the free space in the device memory is not enough after deleting the cache, you should try other ways:

Error codes: 101, 498 and 919.#
Solution:
- Clear free space on your smartphone as in the point about freeing device memory.
- Download WhatsApp again.
Error codes: 403, 495, 504, 911, 920, 923, in case of RPC sum error, installation or download error, invalid package file error.#
Solution:
- As per the instruction Clear free memory space on your device make sure you have enough space to install WhatsApp.
- Install WhatsApp according to the instruction The application is not available in your country.
Error codes: 490.#
Solution:
- If using a mobile internet connection, switch to a Wi-Fi network and try to download WhatsApp.
If that doesn't work:
