I work in data, machine learning, and systems and I am interested in making tech understood and usable by everyone. My open source work tend to fall into one of these buckets:

• Cataloging projects in a given space/technology, so they are easier to understand and use : awesome-mesos, awesome-kafka, awesome-AR, awesome-client-ML and Cobra starter example are some of the examples of such work.

• Integration of various systems projects. Spark integration with Kubernetes and Presto integration with HDInsight, Kubernetes, & Yarn - all allow big data systems to be more cloud native.

• Extending the projects to add additional functionalities. Adding event logger support in Presto, demystifying creation of hive hook, RStudio integration with Kubernetes and SQL queries as Kubernetes jobs are example of work in this stream

• Performance benchmarking for big data storage and query systems. Azure Storage Performance logger, TPCDS Benchmarking Kit, TPCH Benchmarking Kit, TPC Big Bench benchmarking kit, , cluster-resource-benchmarking-tool and Hive Plan Summarizer are all examples of work that make it easier to benchmark, understand & improve performance for big data systems.
