Just noting from today's discussion - to move these checks to occur earlier at perhaps inside node_class or when a node is initialised. |

Noting that in the latest version of However, what we do get is a message,

when loading greta and running the following code, the greta reticulate environment is found, initialised and everything is well:
But when using calculate on a deterministic greta array, this doesn't happen and tensorflow's autoconfig is triggered and tries to overwrite the greta conda environment:
This probably just requires the initialisation code to be run earlier. Maybe whenever someone creates a greta array, so it's obvious to users when that will happen?
