Update: We're less than 24 hours away from Vket4 opening! I thought of some ideas in order to accommodate many people who wanna join us but don't have a windows gaming PC to install VRChat with. Setup
Tonight on April 28 at 8pm PST there will be a meet and greet with some casual exploration. There might atleast one Quest compatible world like last time. We will do more serious trips with a camera team, livestream, and some promotion. My VRChat in-game name is |
@serapath @ninabreznik Y'all should try this out with your Quest if possible |

Vket4 Field Trip
The worlds biggest virtual expo returns this year with Virtual Market 4. The scale of Vket is extraordinary in scale. The number of exhibitors this year has grown from 600 to over 1400, and I think we barely went through half of those 600 last year.
Lets meet up and explore the booths, meet other creators, discuss topics like virtual economy, interoperability, content discovery, UGC, avatar culture, covid, and be inspired by what the Japanese VR community put together!
This thread is to plan the itinerary for multiple field trips through Vket4, similar as we did last year during Vket3 (See here: https://m3-org.github.io/research/vket.html).
How to join
There are some initial prerequisites to join us in-game such as making a VRChat account after installing from Steam on a Windows 10 PC: https://store.steampowered.com/app/438100/VRChat/
The way for Oculus Quest users (like myself) to join is via using Oculus Link which still requires a gaming PC to power up with. If you're joining us, leave a comment and we can add each other on VRChat to link up. If you can't make it in-game, we expect one of us in the group will stream to twitch.tv.
One of the coolest parts about Virtual Market is that sometime after the event we can revisit archived versions of the worlds. Not many conferences or expos have a digital timecapsule.
Post here or on the M3 discord if you're interested in joining us or have any questions. The next step is to figure out dates (event is between April 29 - May 10) of when we want to meetup.
