Wish you had a place to put all the critters living under your fingernails? Or a way to gawk at something with 4 arms and 12 eyes? You're in luck. We introduce the BUG COLLAB, the event to enter bugs of your design into our insectarium! All submissions will be displayed in a small game where you'll be able to walk around small exhibits displaying the different bugs made by you!
EDIT:::: SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED, THANKS TO THOSE OF YOU WHO SUBMITTED!!!!

2023 as a whole was a good year for me, I dropped a lot of toxic friends and got closer to the people who actually cared about me. I wanna specifically thank @sugaphys @kunishiro @conundrym @emizip @nohshy and @sageisreal for helping me get through this year, I appreciate all of you a lot!!
I got a lot of collaborations and projects done this year and I'm hoping to make even more in 2024. me and @kunishiro have a tech demo of a small project hopefully coming here within a month or so, and a lot more things planned throughout the year. I've gotten a lot better at Gamedev this year and I hope to keep getting better. I take a lot of inspiration from NG titles that hit steam such as Picayune Dreams (which I 100%'ed >: D) and Dead Estate, and hope to eventually make it up there and join "the big leagues" since I know I'm capable of it if I try hard enough. I'm really happy with the reception of the mspaint collab 3 since I specifically went out of my way to take into account all the criticism from the last entry, and I'm proud of the stuff we all managed to make for it. special thanks to @conundrym and @kunishiro for helping with some additional map assets, and for all the artists who made cool pieces!!
Anyways going forward as mentioned I hope to keep getting better at my trades and making cool stuff, Its a lot of fun to be a part of this community and I thank you all for the continued support!

Thanks for 2000 followers!!! It's been about 2 years since I joined Newgrounds and I'm super honored to have as much support as I've gotten during my time posting here. I'm looking forward to many future games and projects in the future. speaking of which, besides any current game projects im going to do another MS Paint art gallery collab for Christmas, and this one is probably gonna be a bit more open to the public so I'm hoping to see some fresh blood among the walls. Cheers - Frosty

Writing this while sick and very sleep deprived, don't mind any errors in here lol
Welp, this year was very hectic but I think it was overall a good one for me. I already talked about a lot of junk in my last news post so ill try to keep stuff brief in this one. I started teaching myself code back in the summer, and since then have managed to make a couple of games here. I'm really glad I decided to learn to code, its been a lot of fun teaching myself godot among other things. def the hardest thing I did this year was code a multiplayer game in godot (at the cost of my sanity). so I like to think I'm somewhat of a decent coder as of now. anyways i wanna go over some notable works of the year so without further ado::
FnaFulpa. this was the first game I ever coded/finished, it is terribly optimized and I think I could kill some coders here just by showing how bad the code is lol. besides the flaws in the programming, I'm really happy with how the game turned out/was received. I'm kinda glad my first game did well cuz it motivated me to keep making more. id love to make a sequel eventually next year potentially. pom and topple did a great job with the art and additional work on the game, and teravex did an amazing job on the music. FnaFulps
Pumpkin wing. pumpkin wing was a game I made in 2 weeks for Halloween, and I think for the effort I put into it it turned out decent. I had the mistake of having the fucking no game no life protag playtest the game and that ended up with the difficulty being a little bit more than I was hoping, but overall I think I'm happy with how the game did. this was also the first game that I made entirely myself, so I'm happy I managed to pull through with it. teravex also did some killer af music for it, def check it out if you haven't already:: music::. PUMPKIN WING
Danger creek. Danger creek was the first game jam I participated in for the mobile game jam. topple and pom did a good job with the assets, and like the others, I'm very pleased with how the game turned out. I was a bit worried because the game is poorly optimized, but I compensated for that with lazy game design lol. I think it would be nice to return to the game someday and make an enhanced version or something. also once again teravex killed it on the music. DANGER CREEK
In terms of art this year I've improved a lot. daily practice really pulls through when it comes to getting better. I think I posted 300+ pieces to ng this year, and I hope to stay consistent with those numbers in future years. I also started drawing more what I wanted to draw rather than what would appease the algorithm, and have been a lot happier drawing as a result. some of my favorites: DE JEFF CARD, 01 EVA, JJK BUT AWESOME, MARACTUS, Awesome..., ZEONG, DMIO ZAKU, EGGS MAGN
Music has been a bit rough lately, I haven't been able to make much good stuff. I think I'm probably gonna be making less music next year, but I do hope I can keep getting better. I'm sure it's just a rut ATM. I did manage to post a decent amount of songs this year though, notably no bones for you as my favorite.
As per my plans for next year, I'm gonna start making games for steam so I can start making some $$ off my games, so look forward to those. Expect probably an original fnaf game from me sometime next year, I'm really looking forward to working on some bigger projects. I'm gonna focus on mainly coding and art this year, so hopefully it be a good one.
Anyways, Thanks for a great year, and heres to 2023! Cheers - Frosty
