Albanian

Uncertain; possibly from Proto-Albanian: *spukja,^[1] either cognate with Latvian spèks (“strength”),^[2] from Proto-Indo-European *speh₁- (“to succeed, prosper”) or Ancient Greek φῦσα (phûsa, “breath; bellows”), Old Armenian փուք (pʻukʻ, “breath”), Lithuanian pùsti (“to swell”), from Proto-Indo-European *(s)pew- (“to inflate”).^[1] Alternatively, from *fujqi,^[3] borrowed from Vulgar Latin *fulcius, from Latin fulcīō (“to prop up; to support; to make strong”),^[4]
