Are missteping and missteped really okay? Very little evidence in Google Books, mostly recent stuff that may be vanity-published and underedited. I'm aware of US forms like traveling but usually the syllable that lacks a letter compared to BrE has to be an unstressed one, which AFAIK isn't the case here. Equinox ◑ 19:32, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
