Borrowed from Pali asurakāya (literally body of asuras; assemblage of asuras), from asura (asura) + kāya (body); equivalent to Thai อสุร +‎ กาย (gaai). Cognate with Khmer អសុរកាយ (ʼɑɑsokaay).
