Etymology

Contracted from the synonymous term (deprecated template usage) āridus originally from the verb (deprecated template usage) āreo, akin to (deprecated template usage) ārdeō. Confer the term (deprecated template usage) arfacio which is contracted from the synonymous term (deprecated template usage) ārefacio.
