I was born in Demopolis, Alabama in 1967. I graduated from the Alabama School of Fine Arts with an emphasis in acting. I graduated from International Bible College (now Heritage Christian University) in Florence, Alabama, and then had two years of graduate work in Memphis at the Harding Graduate School of Religion. I then became an actor for several years before becoming a closed captioner in 2006. I'm now a supervisor for the scheduling department.
My interests are Egyptian history (my acting career scored me a trip there early in 2006), critical thinking, liberal politics, and screenwriting. I have of late began exploring the critical scholarship around Christian origins.
A formative book in my youth was The Bermuda Triangle Mystery Solved by Lawrence David Kusche. It was a revelation. The clear and methodical way that Kusche tracked down the source of every Triangle myth and showed how inaccurate they were became a standard of excellence in my mind. I've always felt I owe an debt of conscience to Mr. Kusche, and the best direction to pay it was forward. An sudden exposure to the Hunt the Boeing website right before the one-year anniversary of the September 11 attacks crystallized my desire to pay Mr. Kusche back by debunking 9/11 conspiracy theories in particular. However, after 2011, I have rarely pursued any discussions on the subject.
