Concurrent with Interstate 25 throughout Colorado?

edit

Google Maps indicates that US 87 is at times concurrent with US 85, not with I-25: http://goo.gl/maps/Odru. This may or may not be an error.

Bing Maps definitely contains an error; it shows US 87 as being concurrent with both US 85 and I-25: http://binged.it/N3s2UO 174.24.93.149 (talk) 07:36, 2 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Once completed in Colorado, Interstate 25 replaced U.S. 87. Officially the US highway is not inventoried in Colorado, as CDOT attributes all mileage along the implied concurrency to I-25: <http://www.aaroads.com/guide.php?page=i0025co>. You will not find a single official US 87 sign in Colorado, with the last one having disappeared in 2012: <http://www.mesalek.com/colo/r80-99.html#us87>. Opinion: Google Maps and Bing Maps mislead their users by showing US 87 as concurrent with I-25. Drivers will not find any signs to follow if they have US 87 in their directions. Drivers seeking historical information on former US Highway Routes can easily find this information on the Internet. Where such highways have strong historical interest (such as US 66) and communities sign the highways appropriately, including that information on current maps is appropriate. 71.237.66.37 (talk) 14:26, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Dave GiraitisReply
