Di Giorgio, California

Di Giorgio is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) in Kern County, California.[2] It is located 6.5 miles (10 km) south of Edison,[3] at an elevation of 495 feet (151 m).[2]

The first post office at Di Giorgio opened in 1944.[3] The name honors Joseph Di Giorgio, agricultural entrepreneur and founder of DiGiorgio Corporation.[3] Di Giorgio overlies the large Mountain View Oil Field, and gives its name to one of the field's many productive areas.
