Costa, sometimes Da Costa or da Costa, is a Portuguese, Italian (particularly in Liguria, Piedmont and Sardinia) and Catalan surname. And, because of immigration, is common in Brazil and Argentina. It's also a surname chosen by the Jews, due to Roman Catholic convertions.
