You REALLY want me to stop ignoring you. Fine. I will stop ignoring you

edit

You should be aware that Wikipedia has a policy against using a second account while the first one remains blocked. See WP:SOCK. Regardless of your intents, editing under a second account while the first one is blocked is against policy. It would have been in your best interest, if you really wished to continue editing, you would not have since made 2 edits to my talk page proving that you continue to break the rules, specifically these 2 edits: [1] and [2] You see, as long as I ignored you, I didn't have to acknowledge that you continued to break the rules. I thought, by leaving well enough alone, that maybe you might go on to be a productive editor, and we could let the whole thing go. Well, now I have stopped ignoring you. I have acknowledged you. And now I can no longer pretend that you aren't breaking the rules by dodging your initial block. However, in the interest of fair play, I will not block you. I have, however, reported this account to the administrator's notice board where your behavior will be publicly discussed, and where other administrators and editors will decide how to deal with you. Via con dios. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 22:25, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Responding to your comments on my talk page: Actually, you weren't within your "rights". Wikipedia policy says, and I quote, "Sock puppets may not be used to circumvent any Arbitration Committee or community sanctions, including blocks, bans, and probations." and also "An administrator may reset the block of a user who intentionally evades a block, and may extend the duration of the block if the user engages in further blockable behaviour while evading the block. User accounts or IP addresses used to evade a block may also be blocked.". You may not use other accounts, under the rules, while one of your accounts is blocked. However, given that you are participating constructively, and there is little support for blocking you again, I bid you a fond adieu. Please take the past events as merely a lesson in operating within the Wikipedia community, and learn what is and is not allowed here. Toodles. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 17:02, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Grand Theft Auto images

edit

I have noticed you're adding images to Grand Theft Auto articles and saying that they're in the public domain as they've been released by a website. This is inaccurate as TakeTwo Interactive owns the copyrights to these images as they own the company that creates GTA. Also you have used a license which says that you're the creator of the GTA2 image. I suggest you request speedy deletion on Wikimedia Commons (or whatever the method they use there) to remove the images and re-upload them here on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for being the sock of an indefinitely blocked user (User:DrummerMike).. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Tan | 39 22:18, 27 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

{{unblock|I'm sorry but I have already been negotiated for blocking by Jayron (see above section); for sock puppetry, yes. Several administrators have decided on not blocking my account because of my substantial contributions (which proves I have reformed my last permenant block). I do understand multiple account-using and the consequences but as I am permently blocked on my previous user - as I am keen to edit on Wikipedia - I made another account which I have not repeated my previous problem (which contested my block). Please consider talking to fellow administrators or re-think my block if you may.

If you wish, I shall remove the internal links from my previous to my current account and I will not change DrummerMike from then on.}}

Message from WikiProject Punk music

edit

I notice that you have recently added the userbox for WikiProject Punk music to your user page. You may be interested to know that the project has recently undergone a major revitalization. Please visit the project page to see our new look and check out some of our helpful new features, such as the Assessment Department and the Collaboration of the week. There are also a number of tasks on our Things to do page that you may be interested in helping with.

If you have not already done so, please take a minute to add your name to the Participants page along with a brief summary of your punk-related interests, so that other project members will be better able to collaborate with you. Keep an eye on the project's talk page for periodic roll calls that help us to know how many active project members we have. If you miss a roll call, your name will be moved to our list of inactive members. We may also take the liberty of removing the project userbox from your userpage if it appears there, to prevent you from automatically appearing in Category:WikiProject Punk music members. Of course you are free to rejoin the project and re-add the userbox at any time if you would like to become active in the project again.

Thank you and we hope you will continue to support WikiProject Punk music!

PS4

edit

Due to PlayStation 4's deletion, I feel that this is the only way to define the intrigue of the PS4's release. Therefore, as I don't think the "PS4" search commonly refers to Phantasy Star IV, the PS4 article should reinstate my exclusive information. Also, this is official details about the next PlayStation, so why not? Redirects do not help Wikipedia expand. Please take this into consideration.  Mike |talk 20:02, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have userfied your entry at User:Trap The Drum Wonder/PlayStation 4. When the article meets notability guidelines and cities reliable published sources you may ask an administrator to move it to PlayStation 4. You may find Wikipedia:Your first article to be helpful in construction. However, a search revivals other reveals PlayStation 4 including User:AlexanderTG/PlayStation 4 which shows out of date predictions (PS2 compatibility, controller inputs). — Dispenser 20:28, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, but as I have not humorously written about the PS4, but have simply given original information that people are bound to be interested in. Could I please create a disambiguation by the name of "PS4 (Console)"? As it is not interfering in your redirected article.  Mike |talk 20:39, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia has a WP:No original research policy, this means that every fact need to come from somewhere and that needs to be attributed. If you have information protected by NDA and wish to leak it, you can divulge it using (unaffiliated with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia foundation) wikileaks.
I didn't intend to be humorous (in the comical or empathetic sense) merely pointing out that other people have started work on PlayStation 4 articles and providing an example of the rational behind WP:CRYSTALBALL. And a previous attempt to create a disambiguation page eventually failed when all PlayStation articles were removed leaving only the fantasy star link. See Talk:PS4#Disambiguation Page. — Dispenser 20:59, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image tagging for Image:Playstation4.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Playstation4.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you didn't take that picture, and you don't own the copyright, then this picture needs to be deleted. Adding the website you downloaded it from does not meet copyright standards. Tan | 39 20:26, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Playstation-4-logo.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Playstation-4-logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:37, 10 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

CKJS

edit

Three things about this:

  1. It's not proper procedure to move an article by cutting the text and pasting it into a new title, because this breaks the article's edit history. When you want to move an article, the correct process is to use the "move" tab at the top of the page.
  2. In the case of CKJS, it's not really a valid move at all: because it's a situation where "CKJS" is the proper name of one of the two topics and only an informal abbreviation for the other one, it's more correct in that particular case to simply use what's called a "hatnote" — a single line at the top of the article that basically says "this article is about X; if you wanted Y, go to this other article instead." The reason for this is that under Wikipedia naming conventions, the Charlton Kings Junior School could never actually be moved to the title "CKJS", whereas the radio station could. A disambiguation page is meant only to direct people among articles that could otherwise be located at the same title — so if only one of the two articles could actually be moved there, then it gets the title and the other one just gets a hatnote. What makes CKIS different is that "-FM" is actually part of a North American FM radio station's call sign ("(AM)" isn't, it's just a way to disambiguate titles on Wikipedia), so neither of those articles could legitimately own the undisambiguated title "CKIS".
  3. If and when you do move an article, it's your responsibility to check the inbound links and fix them to point to the new title. You can't just move an article and leave over 100 links pointing to the wrong page.

Hope that helps clarify things a bit... Bearcat (talk) 18:25, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

No content in Category:WikiProject Free Radical members

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:WikiProject Free Radical members, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:WikiProject Free Radical members has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:WikiProject Free Radical members, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion of Improving Fight

edit

A tag has been placed on Improving Fight requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. —Magic.Wiki (talk) 15:10, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Improving Fight

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Improving Fight, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Likely a hoax; Google search did not turn up this game nor its alleged developer

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A tag has been placed on File:181914 4cXE03MhBrNSmoj9ol3thyt7y.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you for uploading File:Naked Cowboy.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:59, 16 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Improving.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 15:24, 3 June 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:24, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Possibly unfree File:Improving.jpg

edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Improving.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:28, 5 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of JME Adenuga

edit

I have nominated JME Adenuga, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/JME Adenuga. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

WP:MUSIC

edit

There is no need to go through the AfD process if an article clearly fails WP:MUSIC. As is stated in the WP:NSONGS section, "Most songs do not rise to notability for an independent article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for the songwriter, a prominent album or for the artist who prominently performed the song". The song failed to chart and the article is unreferenced and thus also fails WP:GNG. A redirect is a perfectly valid course of action. As for "hastily removing the content", you will notice that the article was a stable redirect for close to a year before you came along and reverted it without actually addressing the problems for which the article was redirected. I trust that this explains the situation. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask, but the redirect should not be reverted unless you can establish sufficient notability for the song. Regards, Nouse4aname (talk) 09:15, 31 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea what you are on about. However, unless you can establish notability as per WP:GNG and WP:MUSIC the article should remain a redirect. Nouse4aname (talk) 11:09, 8 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Well good luck with that. The fact that the song never charted means the presence of any reliable sources is pretty unlikely... Nouse4aname (talk) 08:13, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:M+Ms cover.jpg

edit
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:M+Ms cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

M+Ms

edit

Firstly it is not "your page". Secondly M+Ms has been on my watchlist for some time, just because it was moved to the incubator does not take it off my watchlist. Thirdly, the article has been "incubated" for 28 days with no improvement. It still fails WP:GNG and WP:MUSIC. I explained all of this to you previously and it is not my fault if you refuse to accept fact. Take a read of Wikipedia:Article_Incubator#How_it_works. An article cannot stay in the incubator indefinitely. All I am doing is simply tagging the article as having reached the guideline limit for improvement. As the article has seen little activity and certainly none in the way towards achieving notability it is perfectly valid to tag it for deletion. As for your changing of the tag to "new", you know full well that is deceptive and disruptive. An administrator will at some point assess the article and determine whether it should be deleted, incubated for longer or placed into mainspace. I apologise if you think I am "harsh" but I am simply trying to maintain a standards. Nouse4aname (talk) 08:27, 7 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Again, it is not "your" page (see WP:OWN). The article has been on my watchlist since August 2009, when I redirected it according to WP:MUSIC ([3]) (every page I edit is automatically added to my watchlist). When I made this redirect, I checked that the article had not charted and that no reliable sources existed to demonstrate notability. I have explained time and again why it is simply not notable enough for an article, and yet you refuse to listen to me and take everything as a personal insult. If you would just take a step back for one minute and actually listen to what I am saying, perhaps you would understand my actions. Nouse4aname (talk) 08:23, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of M+M's

edit

A tag has been placed on M+M's, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Playstation-4-logo.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Playstation-4-logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [4], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Anirudh Emani (talk) 11:19, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

SB.TV

edit

SB.TV has some significant issues but the topic looks to be notable so I wanted to bring it up here before deleting the article. The article has a very promotional tone and reads like a marketing brochure for this website. Did you want to have a go at toning it down a bit and making the article a bit more neutral?--RadioFan (talk) 11:56, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I apologise for its promotional look, I just wanted to get as much information as I could. I will tinker with its tone and neutralise it. Jamal Edwards actually saw the article and he seemed pretty excited as for SB.TV being on the world's cybernetic encyclopedia. This will not get subpaged! --TDW 14:55, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I"m not surprised the company owner would be excited to see such a promotional article. However it's unencyclopedic and needs to either be neutralized or removed. Would you like the article moved into your user area so that you may work on it as you have time?--RadioFan (talk) 15:21, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of SB.TV for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article SB.TV is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SB.TV until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. RadioFan (talk) 23:52, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: Charlton Kings Infants' and Junior School Articles

edit

I'd rather that not happen, as the consensus in the AfDs closed today seemed pretty clear. In any case, I disagree with Kudpung's point, mainly since consensus can change and that's what seems to have happened. Just because things were redirected in 2008 all the time doesn't mean that would be the case now. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 22:20, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Is there any particular WP article that does not allow such actions? And you say that consensus can change, however I was already supportive of at least incubating the article, I'm not standing at a juxtaposition to that of my thoughts last week. TDW 22:49, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
(talk page stalker) Consensus has not changed and the precedent regarding the redirection of non notable schools is still very much alive. What changes is consensus on each individual AfD depending on who turns up to vote, and whether they are aware of policies, guidelines, or precedents, or indeed have ever contributed to the Wikipedia at all before, and is one of the flaws in the system. That leads often to two near identical articles receiving a very different verdict. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charlton Kings Junior School is a close call, but if I had been an uninvolved admin, irrespective of my own views on the subject, I would have had to close it as 'delete'. 5 'deletes', 2 'keeps', and one-and-a-half 'redirects' (if you count the nominator's own statement), and even based on the strength of the arguments, pretty much clinches it as a deletion. On the other hand, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charlton Kings Infants' School with 4 'deletes', 3 'keeps', and half a 'redirect' (if you count the nominator's own statement) and the statement by Fmph is not accurate: the redirection principle is not 'enshrined in policy' but it does not have to be in order to be considered a precedent. This makes, IMHO, for a very close call based on the kind of statement lke mine. You could consider taking this one to WP:DELREV, but I wouldn't bother and you might not get the desired result. What you could do with these two articles, is include a mention of the schools in the appropriate sections of the target articles, and create straight redirect pages for them if you felt strongly enough about it. The redirects in my opinion , would be plausible, and would escape deletion. If you intend sticking around on Wikipedia (and I hope you will) you may wish to consider investigating our deletion policies and deciding which ones you want to support or help get changed. I'm always happy to answer any questions you have. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 10:58, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Just want to let you know that most of what you have written for your xbox 720 console could go down the drain as it is now rumored that it wont be a console but a tablet.--Dom497 (talk) 01:57, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

That's balony. Microsoft will inevitably bring out a successor to the Xbox 360; they must do to compete in the dynamic gaming market. Even so, I have quoted official personnel and gained some quite convincing speculations in the article - it is not exactly completely unreliable. Although, it remains a subpage and is therefore not accountable to any of the Wikipedian guidelines. Anyway, I think you have read wrong and even though there may be a Microsoft tablet computer out by next year, there probably will be another console or indeed an announcement.TDW 15:57, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello

I have noticed on several pages you were/are a member of WikiProject Gloucestershire as you asking editors to join (like the on the talk page of the Gloucestershire Regiment) but these pages within the "Articles of note" on their project page have no Gloucestershire template and i can't find any mention of a Gloucester WikiProject using the Toolserver.org website.

Do you have any idea why that is?

Hi, sorry that this reply is so late, I have been absent for a number of days and will be fairly active from now on. I understand your concern and my attempts to expand the WikiProject have been quite unsuccessful and I am grateful for any contribution to the targetted articles or any articles on Gloucestershire. In regards with the absence of any mention of the Gloucestershire WikiProject, I personally have not been active in maintaining the project after its initial failure. And to be honest, I don't think I will be in the future. You seem to be a keen lad, so I don't mind allowing you to take charge of the project or so to speak. Take care. Cheers. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Playstation4-winning-concept crop.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Playstation4-winning-concept crop.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. This month The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There is over £3000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. Wikimedia UK is putting up £250 specifically for editors who produce the most quality new women bios for British women, with special consideration given to missing notable biographies from the Oxford Dictionary of Biography and Welsh Dictionary of Biography. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate independently this is also fine, but please add any articles created to the bottom of the main contest page even if not competing. Your participation in the contest and contributing articles on British women from your area or wherever would we much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!

Proposed deletion of Dain Bramage

edit
Notice

The article Dain Bramage has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NBAND - not charted so far as I can see; only one notable member.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Your signature

edit

Hello, I came across your signature this evening due to two syntax problems with it. It utilizes the obsolete <font> tag which is not HTML5 compliant, and due to font tag surrounding the userpage link instead of being within the link (like how your talkpage link is written), your name is not displaying your specified color on many browsers and is defaulting to normal link blue. This is called a tidy font error.

Would you be willing to adjust your signature to the following error free equivalent?
[[User:Trap The Drum Wonder|<span style="font-family:garamond; color:black; font-size:medium">TDW</span>]] <big>[[User talk:Trap The Drum Wonder|<span style="font-family:ariel; color:black">✉</span>]]</big>
which displays as TDW

Please and thank you. Best wishes, Zinnober9 (talk) 22:56, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
