my name is Daniel, i am 16ish years old and live in pittsburgh. i just like wikipedia a lot, so i decided to start a profile. i am largely interested in music, and am apparently "polemic" and "inflammatory". i started editing wikipedia around last fall when i was struck by the idea of a democratic encyclopedia. unfortunately, a lot of people seem to almost want to lessen the quality of such a great endevour by deleting things as they see fit and throwing around words like "encyclopedic", apparently forgetting that this is not the 1911 brittanica but the twenty first century and people like Brian Peppers are worth a mention. what bothers me just as much is that the wiki- format begs vandals to have a go, and rather than being blocked instantly, these people often get a nice big "thank you for experimenting with wikipedia" note on their talk page and don't end up banned until many weeks later. i always do my best to make wikipedia a better place to counter the deletionists and vandals.
you can contact me at joeyramoney@aol.com or joeyramoney@yahoo.com, but there is an admittedly slim chance of me replying or even reading it.
