Needs cleanup
editThis page needs a lot of cleanup. There's a lot of poorly sourced material, and far too much information about extraneous issues that don't specifically relate to Novopay's implementation. I've had a go at trimming back some of this, but this page relates to the Novopay project at the Ministry of Education, not the history of Talent2, or other Talent2 operations elsewhere. Some of the information might be useful in a separate page on Talent2, if a Talent2 page is warranted, but it's just clogging up the Novopay page. 1.54.97.96 (talk) 06:29, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
- You cannot separate Novopay from the company (and the people) that created it. In the last few years, the owners appear to have been focussing on Talents' financial collapse in Australia - and in the process took their eye of the ball in NZ. Joyce seems to agree when he says there was a lack of management in NZ. Background info about Talent2 appears to show one of the key reasons why Novopay (and the payroll at NZPost) failed. - What evidence do you have of "Talents' financial collapse in Australia"? What evidence do you have that Talent2 "took their eye of the ball in NZ"? This seems to be your subjective view of what happened, rather than anything that is supported by adequate sources. You appear to be writing this article as your version of history. That is not the purpose of wikipedia. Wikipedia is a place for notable facts supported by non-controversial sources, not non-notable facts supported only by your opinion. - There is now a separate article on Talent 2. That is the appropriate place to put the history of the Talent 2 company. With due respect, Offender9000, the process of writing wikipedia articles is a collaborative process. While I have significant concerns with the content and the motive of your contributions to this article, I didn't unilaterally remove the content; I instead placed it, where appropriate, at the Talent 2 page. I acknowledge that you have made a significant contribution to this article, but that does not give you the right to dictate what it should and should not contain. Could you please just try and be a little bit more sensible about this.VNTrav (talk) 09:15, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Welcome to wikipedia. It seems eminently sensible to me to provide background information to the Novopay problem on the Novopay page. I don't see much point in creating a new article on Talent2 (using only material from Novopay page) unless you know something new and interesting about the company - otherwise it is likely to remain as a stub. Any Aussies willing to help? Offender9000 18:20, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
