Sembawang Rangers Football Club was a professional football club in Singapore, based in Sembawang, Singapore The club played for S.League, the top division of football in Singapore. The club was also referred to among supporters as the "Stallions". They were also known for their Nigerian look-a-like jersey with phenomenal designs used in the inaugural S.League season in the 90s.

The club was formed as merger between two NFL sides, Gibraltar Crescent and Sembawang Sports Club to enter the inaugural S.League in 1996 as Sembawang Rangers.[1] They were known as The Stallions as the founder of the club were born in the Horse.

Following a league revamp, the club was removed from the S.League at the end of the 2003 season but continued to involved in the Prime League in 2004.

In the eight seasons of participation, Sembawang Rangers played a total of 207 league matches , with a record of 53 Wins, 47 Draws & 102 Losses. A total of 256 goals were scored while conceding 402 goals in the process.

The club produce one of the most prominent local player Yazid Yasin which earn 1 cap from the Singapore national football team.


During the 2001 S.League season, the Stallions relied on Thailand players which they filled in all their 5 foreign player slots to sign, Thawatchai Ongtrakul, Bamrung Boonprom, Totchtawan Sripan, Niweat Siriwong and Teerasak Po-on. Sembawang finished the season in 8th place out of 12.

Sembawang Rangers played most of its home games at the Yishun Stadium till its dissolvement in 2003. During its time, they represent the Northeastern corner of the North Region of Singapore.


They used to attract a large number of crowds back in the days.
