arbitrary divisions

[edit]

Would it be permissible to divide this page into a section of famous quotes on white nationalism and a section of infamous quotes from white nationalists, if the latter are presented in sober and unambiguous context? It would be useful for criticism to have a collection at hand, if this can be accomplished without an unacceptable degree of passive promulgation.

Hi: 69.120.233.183 -- according to my understanding of WP's non-negotiable policy of always maintaining a NPOV (neutral Point of view) - what you propose is most certainly permissible. Cheers Om777om (talk) 05:45, 23 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have not kept close watch on all "theme" pages in quite some time, and there are probably remain some which are organized without regard to the norms, but since the earliest years of the project "theme" pages have usually been organized "alphabetically by author or source" — and this is generally recommended, as it insures the least division into various divided sections which might easily be skewed in improper ways, often depending on various points of view and preferences of "sub-themes" of a few editors. Divisions into such sections as is proposed could immediately lead to various forms of skewing, as those most interested in presenting various positions flood some sections with quotes, and pay little or no attention to gathering quotes or even reading them in others, helping to magnify the increasing trend of people knowing little or nothing true or even valid about positions other than their own, or even many of the perspectives of others regarding their own. Pages for individuals are usually arranged chronologically by quotes or various works or interviews, but I would definitely recommend using "Sorted alphabetically by author or source", as a standard line beneath the major heading in all theme pages, and neither improvised sub-sections NOR simply chronological arrangements, as seem to have been used in some recent articles. ~ Kalki·· 12:21, 23 March 2019 (UTC) + tweaksReply
