Regarding Namdhari Wikipedia page
[edit]Hello, How are you?
We had talked about editing of Namdhari wikipedia page a few months back. I read it today, and found there were many errors and the content organization was not optimal. I have made a few edits. Can you please take out some time to review thee. Also, I took some content from Satguru Ram Singh page and paraphrased for adding in the Namdhari wikipage. Whenever you get time, kindly guide for its further improvement.
Thanks Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 20:43, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Bharatavarsh.1947 - Hello, you made pretty major changes to the article. It will take me a while to review them. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 01:50, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- @MaplesyrupSushi Sure, please take your time. It article's organization was not providing any clarity earlier. Many sub-headings were haywire. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 02:11, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Bharatavarsh.1947 - I briefly skimmed over your revisions to the Namdhari article and have no major concerns. However, it can be improved through copyedits. I will attempt to clean-up the article a bit. Good work. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 02:43, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for reviewing these @MaplesyrupSushi. I agree that more work is required to improve technical quality of these pages. I deleted certain references that were there, but not available or searchable online. I will inter-link these pages for better readability. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 03:40, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Bharatavarsh.1947 - Please be aware of the copyright rules of Wikimedia Commons. A lot of the images you uploaded appear to be copyright violations and will likely be deleted by the moderators of Wikimedia Commons. Only upload public domain images to Wikimedia Commons. I just thought I'd let you know. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 03:43, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- @MaplesyrupSushi I think I have taken care of this thing. I enquired with sribhianisahib.com and other websites from where I have been taking these images to understand copyright issues with these images. They mention all are free to use, but we need to quote their domain as the source of these images. I have done that with all the images. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 03:49, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Bharatavarsh.1947 - I see, then they will have to send an e-mail to the Wikimedia Commons admins clarifying the images are free to be uploaded on Commons. You will have to check the policy on Wikimedia Commons for the details. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 03:52, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- @MaplesyrupSushi Ok. Thanks for informing. I will check if this communication is required, and comply accordingly. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 03:53, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

- @MaplesyrupSushi I have mailed Wikimedia to understand if there is any concern with Wikimedia uploads and any inadvertent policy violations. Thanks a lot for guiding. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 04:16, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

- @Bharatavarsh.1947 - Hopefully an article on Partap Singh will be drafted, then all the Namdhari gurus will have a stand-alone article. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 03:44, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Exactly. I think a user @Tubobby is working on this. Meanwhile, I am working on the page of "Satguru Uday Singh", which also needs a major improvement. This will complete the pages of all Namdhari Gurus, and we would link these to the main "Namdhari" wikipage. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 03:46, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Bharatavarsh.1947 - I have concerns about user Tubobby removing critical commentary from articles. Hopefully they will be able to draft a non-biased and balanced article. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 03:48, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- @MaplesyrupSushi I noted this, and definitely, a non-biased and balanced article based on reliable and verified sources will be added. This is why, I had linked credible news repots to the "controversy" section of the "Namdhari" page. Text cannot be deleted or even added without reliable sources. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 03:50, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- @MaplesyrupSushi In the "Namdhari" wikipage, the infobox shows 'Kuka' as 'Nickname'. I think 'nickname' may not be the right nomenclature. It could be alternative name or something else. Bharatavarsh.1947 (talk) 03:56, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

Deserting of fake spoiler emphasising Zutt
[edit]Short subject:(Removed revision of User:DelphiLore
Hi man, i eagerly want to approch some intelligible and visionary editor for some information circled around the article based on Jats regime can you please try to remove the dubious statement more likely to be a Joke
I don't know which troll is editing this, but NO, Jats are NOT an "Iranian tribe". Furthermore, there is practically nothing left of the Zutt people, those Indus pastoralists settled in 6th-11th century Iraq, so to imply that proper Jat clans live in modern Iraq is a lie! The most you can say is that there is still a district (Abu al-Khaseeb) named after them. But you should remember, as mentioned in the Zutt article itself, that Zutt was a generic exonym used by Arab chroniclers! Good luck trying to prove definitively that such-and-such Zutt is definitely a Jat. Heck, geneticists and historians argue that the Jats of Balochistan and Sindh aren't related to other Jats, so first focus on proving that!
42.117.202.204 (talk) 16:52, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- Dismissing a historical link between the Jats and the Zutt people overlooks the complexities of migration and identity evolution emphasized in trans-regional studies. The Zutt, noted in Arab texts as a diverse group from the Indus Valley, are closely related to Jat/Jutt identity, particularly in Iraq "Zutt/Ahwaris/Shroog" are where identified with Jats, as This designation reflects a living continuity of Zutt identity that has adapted to the sociocultural landscape of southern Iraq. Furthermore, approximately 7.6 million individuals with Zutt ancestry currently reside in Iraq and Iran, reinforcing their classification as an Iranian tribe with deep historical roots. To assert that the Zuttâs legacy has vanished disregards the cultural continuity evident in the Ahwaris and the broader context of Jat-Zutt connectivity, necessitating an inclusive and evidence-based exploration of their shared Powerinhand (talk)User:DelphiLore

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Akal Bunga original platform unveiled during renovations.webp
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Akal Bunga original platform unveiled during renovations.webp. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:05, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
Replaceable non-free use File:Akal Takht after Operation Blue Star (1984).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Akal Takht after Operation Blue Star (1984).jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:06, 5 November 2024 (UTC)

Regarding Bhatts
[edit]Hi! @MaplesyrupSushi You rv my edits regarding Bhatts by pointing out my ip as a sock without checking my sources. Kindly please check my sources which eventually comes from the book : The Sikh Reference Book by renowned Sikh historian Harjinder Singh Dilgeer and by the Gurdit Singh's book Bhatt Te Uhnah Di Rachna. Both these books were published in year of 1961 & 1997 and there information based on original Bhatt Vahi Multani Sindhi (Gurmukhi) which was written by Bhatts.
This is what written by Harjinder Singh Dilgeer
The Bhatts were the bards who used to recite poetry praising the glory of the rulers, the warriors and the holy men. Bhatts, who were associated with the Sikh Panth belonged to Kaushish-Gaur Brahmin family. Most of them belonged to Sultanpur (district Kapurthala). Several families of the Bhatts still live in the villages Bhadson (Ladva), Karsindhu (Safidon), Talaunda (Jind) and several other villages of Haryana. There were several Bhatt devotees of Guru Sahib. Some of them composed their verses in praise of the missionary contribution of Guru Sahib. The following 11 Bhatts are represented in Guru Granth Sahib (pp. 1385-1409): Bhikha, Kalh, Jaalap, Kirat (martyr), Mathura (martyr), Salh, Bhalh, Balh, Haribans, Nalh, Gayand. The Bhatt Baani celebrates the contribution of the first Five Naanaks. The Bhatts present all the Guru Sahib as one light and when one Guru installs his successor, he also merges his light in him (the successor). to quote Bhatt Kalh, "From Guru Nanak Sahib (the light merged into) Guru Angad Sahib and from Guru Angad Sahib to Guru Amar Das Sahib and then Guru Ram Das Sahib and then Guru Arjan Sahib (p. 1407)." This Sikh concept has also been depicted by Shaheed Bhai Kirat Bhatt who says that Guru Angad Sahib was ever a part of Guru Nanak Sahib (p. 1406) and Shaheed Bhai Mathura Bhatt in his first Swayya (p. 1408).
Same thing was written by the Gurdit Singh from the original source :
ā¨āŠā¨¸ā¨ŧā¨¸ā¨ŧ ā¨°ā¨ŋā¨āŠ ā¨ĻāŠ ā¨¸āŠ°ā¨¤ā¨žā¨¨ ā¨ŽāŠ°ā¨¨ā¨ĻāŠ ā¨šā¨¨ āĨ¤ ā¨āŠąā¨ā¨žā¨ ā¨ĻāŠ ā¨ĩā¨šāŠ ā¨ĻāŠ ā¨ā¨°āŠ°ā¨ā¨ ā¨¸āŠā¨ā¨¨ā¨ž ā¨¤āŠā¨ ā¨āŠ ā¨ā¨¸ ā¨āŠąā¨˛ ā¨ĻāŠ ā¨ĒāŠā¨¸ā¨ŧā¨āŠ ā¨šāŠāŠ°ā¨ĻāŠ ā¨šāŠâ ā¨¸āŠā¨°āŠ ā¨¸ā¨°ā¨¸ā¨ĩā¨¤āŠ ā¨ ā¨¨ā¨Žā¨šā¨ŋ āĨ¤ ā¨¸āŠā¨°āŠ ā¨ā¨ŖāŠā¨¸ā¨ŧ ā¨ ā¨¨ā¨Žā¨šā¨ŋ āĨ¤ ā¨āŠā¨¸ā¨ŧā¨¸ā¨ŧ ā¨āŠā¨¤ā¨° ā¨āŠāŠ ā¨ŦāŠā¨°ā¨žā¨šā¨Žā¨Ŗ ā¨¨ā¨ĻāŠ ā¨¸ā¨°ā¨¸ā¨ĩā¨¤āŠ ā¨ā¨žā¨Ž ā¨¤ā¨˛ā¨žā¨ā¨ĸā¨ž ā¨¸āŠā¨˛ā¨¤ā¨žā¨¨ā¨ĒāŠā¨° ā¨ā¨žā¨Ļā¨¸āŠ ā¨ĩā¨žā¨˛āŠ āĨ¤ (ā¨ĩā¨šāŠ ā¨¤ā¨˛ā¨žā¨ā¨ĸā¨ž ā¨¤āŠ ā¨ā¨žā¨Ļā¨¸āŠ, ā¨ā¨ ā¨Žā¨žā¨¨ ā¨¸ā¨ŋāŠ°ā¨)
Translation of above :
Kaushash is believed to be the offspring of Rikhi. From the preliminary notice of Bhatt's book. It is also confirmed thatâ Sri Saraswati A Namhi. Shri Ganesh A Namhi. Kaushash Gotra Gaur Brahman Nadi Saraswati Gam Talaudha Sultanpur Bhadso Wale. (Same Talaudha and Bhadso, Bhat Man Singh)
And in the current version no source mentions Bhatts as Saraswat Brahmins. At least you should cross check the sources added by me. And on ground Brahmin Siks & Bhatras are two communities. Almost all Brahmin Sikhs of Puadh are Gaurs at present some of the follow mixed & dualistic customs of both Hinduism & Sikhism. So without entering in any edit war I request you to please check my sources & do the needful. Masterkiteretsu (talk) 10:06, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
