My thoughts

[edit]

Thank you for stopping by my talk page that one time. It was disappointing to see you get blocked. I was going to suggest that you stop lying, apologize, and promise not to do anything crazy like that ever again, but so much time had passed that I thought you had moved on. I now see that you want to return to the community. I would love to see you return to the community, but you have not quite made a sufficient unblock request that most administrators would approve. Blablubbs has given you excellent advice. I would suggest you listen to him and click my link. Scorpions13256 (talk) 02:02, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request 3

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I know what I have been blocked for. I take back my legal threats, and I will not repeat them. I am incapable of initiating legal actions anyway, and it’s all for a silly reason. Please take my edits at Simple into consideration also. I would love to come back into the English Wikipedia community, as there is a lot more to keep me busy. I was silly and I won’t ever do the aforementioned things again. Hockeycatcat (talk) 09:30, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Given your history of logged-out personal attacks and harassment, I don't think you are a good fit for this website. Please go back to trolling on Reddit or wherever you come from. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:17, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Thanks for the advice @Blablubbs: and @Scorpions13256: Hockeycatcat (talk) 09:30, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@NinjaRobotPirate: Excuse me? I don’t have a long history of that at all! And have you even seen my edits at Simple? Also, am I allowed to edit anonymously of would that be block evasion? Cheers, Hockeycatcat (talk) 08:18, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Editing logged out while blocked would be block evasion. That should be obvious to you as your block was for abusive logged out editing. Lavalizard101 (talk) 11:33, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The decision for blocking is valid, but this decline request is downright mean. There's no need to leave a snarky tack-on after things have been justified already. Panini!🥪 14:19, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the sandwich. The decline is more of a personal attack itself, and it fails to provide a reason to why the current improvements are not enough. It merely restates the original block reasons without taking into consideration what hockey is even trying to say. You are also preventing him from a fresh start, though understandable for the sock puppetry involved. Elytrian (talk) 05:54, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Multiple unblock requests isn't a sign of excessive or annoying behavior, it's proof that a user is really looking for a second chance and is simply being ambitious in doing so. Normal trolls would simply make more accounts and go back to what they were doing originally. Please, Hockeycatcat, I urge you to make one more unblock request for an adequate conclusion. If it's denied for a valid reason, I won't persist. Panini!🥪 16:26, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@NinjaRobotPirate: Your decline above is very alarming. It's basically a personal attack as pointed out above, if not assuming bad faith, (calling someone a troll even after they have done great work on simplewiki whilst they were blocked here) and you're already involved in the situation. Blocks are not punitive and it looks like you're viewing them this way. I highly recommend either withdrawing or seriously reviewing your decline above. --Ferien (talk) 19:03, 26 March 2022 (UTC) withdraw myself per below --Ferien (talk) 21:00, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ferien: Considering that the logged out edits included repeated death threats, I'm not sure this is a battle you really want to fight. --Blablubbs (talk) 20:34, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Blablubbs: I didn't see that posted anywhere onwiki, that changes the situation completely. The "trolling on Reddit" part of the unblock decline was unnecessary sure, but if death threats were involved, then of course the request should be declined, especially as harassment wasn't addressed in the unblock request. "Logged-out personal attacks" can range from stressful debates all the way up to physical threats, and I had assumed it was on the bottom end of that, my apologies. --Ferien (talk) 20:58, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Blablubbs I was not aware of the death threats myself. In that case, the declines were good. Scorpions13256 (talk) 23:11, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'll tone down the sarcasm, but maybe you guys shouldn't argue about CheckUser evidence you can't even see? NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:02, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welp, now I know why they chose UTRS instead of posting here. Correctly addresses all the points I'm aware of. A rarity at UTRS, and a refreshing change from the usual claptrap-drivel. Assuming they are not just off a spree of block evasion, of course. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:31, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't something I plan on fighting or arguing, as I acknowledge you have your evidence and the block is most assuredly justified. It was just a bit upsetting to see things pan out like they did, as this was my first wiki friend. Best to you, admins! Panini! 🥪 15:12, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Panini! I'm still around, on Simple English Wikipedia, that is! I'm planning to submit another unblock request to ArbCom later this month (December). I'm happy to read that I was your first wiki-friend. :) Cheers, Hockeycatcat (talk) 15:49, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

is declined in favor of an ArbCom appeal. Courtesy ping to @AmandaNP: --Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:37, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Deepfriedokra: Thank you for looking at my UTRS request and directing me to ArbCom. I have requested an unblock to them. Hockeycatcat (talk) 03:41, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
