Pope revert

[edit]

I wanted you to know I reverted your change to Pope because it appears to be in error. Specifically, Matthew 16:18 uses the term "gates of hell" instead of "gates of here."

If you have any questions, please let me know on my talk page, below.

Thanks! --KNHaw (talk) 23:18, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Madonna & Child 1847 from Carl von Blaas.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Madonna & Child 1847 from Carl von Blaas.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:31, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Madonna & Child 1847 from Carl von Blaas.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Madonna & Child 1847 from Carl von Blaas.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries and disruptive editing

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I have recently reverted a number of your edits for being disruptive. You seem to be seeking out any (even marginally) offensive words and replacing them with similar sounding words, even when those words are someone's name (i.e. Dickson → dinkson; Bereishit → Bereishirt), and replacing references to Hell with "here". Please stop doing this. This is disruptive editing and you need to stop. Additionally, you are making changes without using an edit summary. This would help people know what and why you are changing something (it appears at the bottom of the edit window when you're making an edit).--Ermenrich (talk) 23:54, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Teresa of Ávila, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Charity (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:08, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to List of biblical figures identified in extra-biblical sources‎ does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. See also the message you received above. Some of your edits to List of biblical figures identified in extra-biblical sources‎ are inappropriate as they don't match the criteria

[edit]

The lead starts "These are biblical figures unambiguously identified in contemporary sources according to scholarly consensus." \Josephus was clearly not the contemporary of John the Baptist - are you reading my edit summaries? There's also a discussion on the talk page. Doug Weller talk 15:21, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Abgar V, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Syrian Orthodox Church (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

A tag has been placed on Marcus Pontius Pilatus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

WP:G3, WP:G5 by User:CatechismDatabase

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. signed, Rosguill talk 17:33, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Church of Milan listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Church of Milan. Since you had some involvement with the Church of Milan redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. signed, Rosguill talk 15:13, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
