Welcome to the website! Manuishino seems to want to boost his own company's products and has just been accused of "vandalism" on a different page.

Now, why do you want to call out 150px in the illustrations on this page? I used to think my ten-year-old computers were out of step, but you are making the photos positively postage-stamp sized on my screen! If you omit this specification, then thumbnails take the size you specify in "My preferences". The correct solution seems to be to change these settings for yourself, not change the page for everyone else. Spike-from-NH (talk) 13:40, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, i think 150px are good. I did take a look at 180px now, but this would be a bit to large.Angerdan (talk) 18:16, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are missing my point. (1) We may have different screen sizes (number of total pixels) so your observations cannot reflect what other people are seeing. (2) Whatever you think is right for you, you should set it in your "My preferences" page, not in the Secure Digital (or other) article. Spike-from-NH (talk) 19:42, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of electric cars currently available, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mahindra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 18:03, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Angerda. I am Diannaa and I am an administrator on this wiki who specializes in copyright clean-up. The copyright for Pentax camera manuals (and all the camera documents uploaded to www.butkus.org) is owned by the camera manufacturer, not a random guy who scanned and uploaded them to his private website in violation of copyright law. Please don't restore this link or any of the other 100 or so such links I removed from the site today. We're not allowed to include links that violate someone else's copyright. Thanks, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:04, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, i can follow the wiki policy ("... if you know that an external Web site is carrying a work in violation of the creator's copyright, do not link to that copy of the work.")
There's even an disc thread about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Copyrights#External_links_to_camera_manuals_from_Butkus.org_and_Cameramanuals.org
But: The link to the list of cameras don't have a direkt link to copyright material (https://web.archive.org/web/20161115190154/http://www.butkus.org:80/chinon/ultimate_k-mount.htm). :Especially the included table is self-made, so should be kept. Killing the link to the domain butkus.org in this case when there's a page with only self written content isn't good and should be reverted. Do you do it for the "ultimate_k-mount" archive link?
Reasons: Wikipedia copyright guidelines:
"It is currently acceptable to link to internet archives such as the Wayback Machine, which host unmodified archived copies of webpages taken at various points in time."
"...it is acceptable to include a link to that website even if there are possible copyright violations somewhere on the site."
"Context is also important...", the link destination is clearly the table of cameras, not the link to the links to the pdf-files.

Why did you move this template?

[edit]

Hi, Can I ask you, why did you move this teplate? There are four more product line (F, A, T, EOS) of Canon film SLR cameras (with FD and EF mount). -- kgyt (talk) 23:40, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, to uniform the names for a sorted display in the Category:Canon camera templates. It seems the "early" is now missing in the name - any suggestions? --Angerdan (talk) 12:01, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Lens mount. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Blinkenlights, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 18:44, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
