Article Feedback deployment

[edit]

Hey MisterSanderson; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 22:37, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Great irmandiño revolt, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spring. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your Comment on femininity page

[edit]

Regarding you comment on the femininity page that started with "Framing: I've reached this article to read about how hormonal differences between women and men lead to differences in world-view between the sexes."

I tried for several hours to bring some objectivity to the page but finally gave up. What you were looking for has been deleted because it conflicts with the common modern day feminist belief that gender is entirely a cultural construct. The real question here is why do many feminists need it to be a cultural construct. Personally I would quote Gloria Steinem when she said "We are becoming the men we wanted to marry". That is the goal of many feminists but if gender is not entirely a cultural construct, that makes it difficult.

Re: Article creation by unregistered users

[edit]

You can find more information about the effects of that restriction at m:Research:Wikipedia article creation. In short, data does not support the idea that preventing unregistered users from creating articles improves things. Nemo 10:50, 5 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited August Rebellion, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fourth Amendment (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
