Hi! My name is Scott and I'm a master's graduate of the atmospheric science department at MIT. I previously graduated from MIT with a bachelor's degree, as well. I was a member of the MIT team of the WxChallenge and am still in the MIT Wind Ensemble. My main hobbies include: Visiting national parks (and collecting national park passport stamps) -- I have been to 401 of the 431 national park units in the US. By the time I was 16, I had been to all 50 United States. I am also trying to get to as many of the 1121 World Heritage Sites as possible; I have been to 141 so far. I have been to 40 countries: Composing and listening to film soundtracks. My favorite national park is Bryce Canyon in Utah. My favorite soundtracks are those from the Lord of the Rings movies, composed by Howard Shore. I like everything by John Williams. I also love the music from Reflections of Earth. Where I Contribute [edit] Since I started contributing in September, 2005, I have made over 4,000 edits on Wikipedia. I mainly contribute to topics related to: National Parks US geography in general I especially love adding altitude information to articles.
