Neutrality

[edit]

I'm sure the neutrality banner refers to the glowing, unconditionally positive reviews offered for this man's two books. It reads more like an advertisement for the books rather than encyclopedic coverage of the books; maybe something you'd see printed on the back of the dust jacket. I did some preliminary searching and, generally speaking, it seems hard to find reviews of these novels. There were a couple reviews from back when the books were first released, but almost nothing thereafter. These reviews do seem pretty positive. It's on my to-do list to re-evaluate this article. It does seem like the publications got some positive press, but the article doesn't need to gush so shamelessly about it. Cosmic Sans (talk) 14:56, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stray tag?

[edit]

I saw that Ut0pian1 put the following tag at the top of the article: {{db--author}}. It just appears as "db-author" at the top of the article due to the use of the nowiki tags. I'm not sure what the intended outcome of this tag was, but it clearly wasn't working. I removed it for now because it's not actually doing anything. Utopian, if you want to correct the syntax and re-add it that's fine. Cosmic Sans (talk) 13:53, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect criminal record?

[edit]

Are the editors sure that Terence Hawkins the author and academic is the same person as Terence Hawkins the crooked attorney who embezzled funds from his clients? It seems unlikely and none of the local news stories about the crime and sentencing mention that Terence Hawkins the crooked attorney is also a published author and academic, which, knowing journalists, they probably would. Is there actual corroborating evidence? Has anyone fact checked this? Freelanceunbound (talk) 19:32, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
