This individual is well known in his region. This article needs references and cleanup to fully demonstrate notability. It should be allowed to be fleshed out. --Morenooso (talk) 22:52, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The nominator is not giving this article a chance to develop. A notability tag should have been placed on the article first if that editor had questions. It appears he is on a deletion track. --Morenooso (talk) 23:02, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Rather than focusing on me how about focusing on the article. The article lacks references and is not supported by GHIts or GNEWS. I took the time to confirm this before placing a CSD on the article. Local notability (i.e., being well known or everybody knows him in our area) is not a criteria for establishing Wikipedia based notability. Notability is based on verifiable statements, something that has not been included in the article. Unfortunately an author has the burden of providing support for an article. In this instance this is a burden that has not been fulfilled. I look forward to your adding the references to provide support to so this article will meet the criteria for inclusion. ttonyb (talk) 23:16, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your talkpage seems to be a great indicator of your track record. Other editors have noted that you quit to nominate for AFD.

<sign>Ignoring the article by focusing on my actions will not improve it.</sigh> You are more than welcome to throw stones at me or WP:DUCK, but why waste your time and let the article languish without improving it. If you have specific questions about the article and how it could be improved I am more than willing to help you out there, but the least you can do is at least try to act a little friendly. As I said before, I look forward to your adding the references to provide support to so this article will meet the criteria for inclusion. ttonyb (talk) 23:38, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mentioned and credited for saving Tesla

[edit]

Tesla_(band)#Reunion_.282000-present.29 mentions in a stable paragraph that: After a break of six years, the Sacramento Bee reported that the band had reformed in 2000 with the help of local radio personality Pat Martin of KRXQ. Tesla is a notable band and just one of many things this individual has done in the Sacramento broadcast region. --Morenooso (talk) 23:29, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Forgive me for asking, but how is this substantial coverage? I suggest you read WP:BIO and reliable sources for more information. My best to you... ttonyb (talk) 23:38, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am very familar with all those wikilinks. Please my list of references. You are forgiven. --Morenooso (talk) 23:43, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So I'll ask again, how is this substantial coverage? ttonyb (talk) 23:46, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It got media attention, obviously. [1] The last result there is from a major newspaper mentioning him bringing the band back together. I found ample coverage of the guy which I have mentioned in the AFD. Remember, you are also notable for your actions, not just how many news sources mention you. Archive of AfD

[edit]

Shouldn't the AfD closure notice have been posted here as a do not modify section? --Morenooso (talk) 01:51, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tesla

[edit]

I just removed the following:

He is credited by the Sacramento Bee for helping to reform the band Tesla (band).[2][http://ticketsdotcom.blogspot.com/2009/12/tesla-members-to-take-part-in-pat.html

None of the three links are reliable sources. It would be nice if there's a SacBee article giving Martin this credit. tedder (talk) 04:28, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
