The result of the move request was: move the page for the time being, per the discussion below. Of course, as circumstances change it may become necessary to revisit the locations of these articles again. Dekimasuよ! 16:56, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Karaganda RegionQaraghandy Region – The article Karaganda has just been moved to Qaraghandy, and, though I opposed the move, I do not see a reason for keeping the articles about the city and the region having different spellings. Since it has been previously moved several times, we have to go via RM Ymblanter (talk) 11:23, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: While I was the one who changed this article name and first proposed to change the city name in the other talk page, Kazakh latin alphabet is still in process and not fully complete. I think maybe changing the city was probably too early and the propose should've been postponed, but anyways it's been decided as a whole. Shouldn't there be "ǵ" instead of a "gh"? I know lots of English Wikipedia article names that uses native letters with marks, like Würzburg, Málaga, Orléans, and Besançon. The question I have is once the Kazakh alphabet is finalized and decided fully, will it be appropriate to eventually change from the city of Qaraghandy to Qaraǵandy including the region? The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
