I have substantially rewritten this, adding in the four peaks that were omitted, and attempting to describe the branching of the range that occurs after Little Haystack. I'm not sure that the inclusion of only the hallowed "High Peaks" serves this article well-- leaving out the smaller peaks makes the range harder to trace. Also, I'm not quite sure how to source this-- I used several maps (is this original research?). Ideally, we could find a print source describing the range, but so far I have found none.

I have left out the following sentence, which, I assume, applies only to the 11 peaks that were then mentioned in the article.

"A traverse of the entire range can be accomplished in one grueling day, 13.5 miles one way with 9000 feet of climbing along the main ridge from Lower Wolf Jaw to Marcy."

In any case, the article needs more work! -- Mwanner | Talk 14:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, yes, User:Mudrat, who added the sentence about the one day trek also removed two peaks (Skylight and Redfield), presumably because they were inconvenient for his one sentence. -- Mwanner | Talk 14:51, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
