Eclipse

[edit]

Should the information on the solar eclipse page about Gemini 12 being the only space craft to ever pass in the umbra of a total solar eclipse be included here and if so where? 198.82.66.54 (talk) 15:38, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

tank explosion

[edit]

This video shows the lower stage exploding after seperation. Anybody know anything about it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGkU7RuBzi8&feature=related —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.210.41.157 (talk) 10:22, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That isn't the lower stage exploding, instead it is the faring that connects the two stages together coming apart after the ignition of the upper stage. I have no idea if that was intentional or simply a by-product of the heat+pressure from the upper stage's exhaust... and it certainly had no impact on the mission. --Robert Horning (talk) 16:29, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dual launch photo

Someone should incorporate this photo or the public domain hi-res equivalent into this article. (sdsds - talk) 03:35, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
