What was cerealine?

[edit]

The page links to an unrelated cereal product by the same name. There's a chemical description from an 1860s journal [1]. Do we know it by a different name today that we could link to instead? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.70.20 (talk) 17:53, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A note

[edit]

As I understand it, brown bread is made from wheat grains that have had the germ removed, but retain the bran, and endosperm. This links to soda bread which might be brown in color but it isn't 'brown bread' as such.

Whole Wheat Bread redirect

[edit]

A search for "whole wheat bread", redirects to Whole Wheat Bread, a page about a punk band, which has a note at the top: "This article is about the band. For the food, see whole grain." I think searching for "whole wheat bread" should lead to this "brown bread" page instead. For now, I will modify that note to add a link to this "brown bread" page.

I don't know how to change a redirect page and don't have time right now to look into it, but I think the search for "whole wheat bread" should lead here to "brown bread" because it seems that more people would be looking for the bread, than would be looking for a punk band that is not extremely well-known. My hope is that others can work on this if it seems appropriate to do so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fallendarling (talkcontribs) 21:38, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to modify the note on the punk band page but can't figure out how to do it. Fallendarling (talk) 21:52, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I believe I have now sorted out all of the redirects and hat notes. This was relatively easy to do after User:Velela very helpfully created a brand new stub for Whole wheat bread the food. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 14:16, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Principal or principle?

[edit]

The section 'colour', refers to an 'active principal'. It seems to me that this should be 'active principle', but as I'm not completely sure it is wrong as it is I won't make the change myself. Does anyone know? --Brian Josephson (talk) 13:04, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
