This box coordinates the level of organization of meetup events in the Northeast US.

Wikimedia New York City officially serves communities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Local committees and/or new chapters across the Northeast are also anticipated in future.

The ninth Philly Wikipedia Meetup occurred on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 15:00 EDT. It was hosted by WikiProject Philadelphia.

The meetup was organized by mblumber and Whiteknight.

We met in the basement of Drexel's Creese Student Center between 32nd and 33rd streets on Chestnut Street until approximately 5:30. We then headed over to Mikey's American Grill for dinner.

Wikipedia Takes Philadelphia was scheduled for Saturday October 4.

WikiProject Philadelphia was a topic of conversation, along with a general discussion of where we feel like the project should go from here.

NOTE: The date and time of this meetup has been changed to accommodate other regional activities.

The purpose of this meeting is to finalize our plans for the Wiki Takes Philadelphia event. We'll discuss logistics, establish jobs, and coordinate with participating groups.

The floor will also be open to discussing other projects relating to the Wiki and Free Culture movement.

Afterward at around 5pm, we'll share dinner and friendly wiki-chat at a local sports bar.
