Nova Trento is a municipality in the state of Santa Catarina in the South region of Brazil.[2][3][4][5]

The municipality contains part of the 1,899 hectares (4,690 acres) Canela Preta Biological Reserve, a full protected area.[6]

History

Nova Trento was discovered on 1875 by Italian immigrants, and became municipality on 8 August 1892.

Tourism

Nova Trento is known for the Madre Paulina Sanctuary, is a catholic church in the city.

The climate of Nova Trento is classified as humid subtropical climate (Köppen climate classification: Cfa).
