Dilys Laye (March 11 1934 – February 13 2009) was an English actress and screenwriter, best known for comedy roles.[1]

She appeared in several British comedy films, including four of the Carry On's:

In the 1980s she appeared in, and co-wrote, the ITV comedy series Chintz.[1]
