The 2024 City of Lincoln Council election was held on Thursday 2 May 2024 to elect 11 of the 33 members of City of Lincoln Council, being the usual third of the council. It took place on the same day as other local elections in the United Kingdom.[1]

Summary

The council remained under Labour majority control at this election, with the party increasing their majority.[2] The leader of the council prior to the election, Ric Metcalfe, did not stand for re-election. After the election Labour chose Naomi Tweddle to be their new group leader. She was formally appointed as leader of the council at the subsequent annual council meeting on 14 May 2024.[3]
