It may be a romantic interpretation, but in the absence of any more contemporary image, it would be nice to have a colour photo with her delicate pink gown instead of that austere monochrome book scan. See [https://artuk.org/discover/artworks/corinna-of-tanagra-180199 Art UK].

Unless of course the idea is to have a dull image to go with her dull poetry... [[User:Theramin|Theramin]] ([[User talk:Theramin|talk]]) 21:39, 1 August 2022 (UTC)

Ooh, that's a much nicer image: thank you for pointing it out! I'm on holiday at the moment, so I'm not doing anything too complicated until I have access to a proper computer again, but when I do I will definitely update the image if nobody else gets to it in the meantime... Leighton painting

[edit]

A quick note that Frederic Leighton's painting was one of six works that he exhibited at the RA in 1893, and it is apparently at the Leighton House Museum.

It may be a romantic interpretation, but in the absence of any more contemporary image, it would be nice to have a colour photo with her delicate pink gown instead of that austere monochrome book scan. See Art UK.

Unless of course the idea is to have a dull image to go with her dull poetry... Theramin (talk) 21:39, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
