Saint-Martin Church of Aalst (Dutch: Sint Martinuskerk, French: Église Saint-Martin d'Alost) or Church of Sint-Martinus is a church located in Aalst, Flanders, Belgium.
History
The Church of Saint-Martin in Aalst, Belgium was established in dedication to Saint Martin. The gothic style church was built in 1480.[1]
The altarpiece by Peter Paul Rubens depicting Saint Roch titled Christ Appointing Saint Roch as Patron Saint of Plague Victims is located at Sint-Martinuskerk.[2]
Composed by Erasmus in 1527, the epitaph of Dirk Martens was installed in Aalst's Saint-Martin church in 1784.[3]
