Mount Parnitha sometimes Parnetha is a tall mountain and a range north of Athens and Menidi/Acharnae. The mountain can be seen from Eleusis, Athens, and northern suburbs. Forests are situated on the mountain and contains a cable car. It is the tallest mountain on the peninsula of Attica. Much of the mountain is also a park.

Towns surround the mountain are Aspropyrgos (Thria), Acharnae/Menidi, Varymbombi, Thrakomakedones, Decelea and Aghios Stefanos, [[Greece Interstate 1|Gr-1] surrounds the northern and eastern part of the mountain along with the Cephissus river. The two plains are adjacent to the mountain (Thriasian, and Pedia). There are some landfills neighboring the mountain range.
