The Essex Chronicle, published in Westway, Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom, is a general news, weekly paper owned by the Daily Mail and General Trust.

The Chronicle's supplementary publications include the Brentwood Gazette series and total essex publications. Scott Hornsby is the publisher. As of 29 January 2008, the Chronicle was reported to have a circulation of 53,714.[1]
