Etymology 1
[edit]First attested in the Seokbo sangjeol (釋譜詳節 / 석보상절), 1447, as Middle Korean 다시〮.
Ultimately, it may be related to an unattested root *닷 (*tas-), seen in 다ᄉᆞᆷ어미 (tasomemi, “stepmother”).[1] See also 다음 (da'eum).
