Usage notes
[edit]- 主席 (zhǔxí) is only used to refer to the President of the People's Republic of China, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, President of the Republic of Cuba, while the presidents of all other republics are referred to as 總統/总统 (zǒngtǒng).
