[edit]◌͕
- (UPA) forward (fronted, advanced) articulation (pre-alveolar t, pre-velar k, fronted o, etc.); equivalent to IPA ⟨◌̟⟩.
Usage notes
[edit]This diacritic may either appear below a letter or as a subscript immediately after it. A descender on the letter will generally force the diacritic to the right, but some authors place the diacritic to the right of consonants but under vowels, or follow other patterns.
