[edit]From Siddham 𑖨 (ra), with a stroke in the middle to differentiate from *ব (“ba/va”). Similar solution was applied to Devanagari ब (“ba”) but for "ba" sound.

[edit]It mostly represents the sound corresponding to RA, but is used in Pali to represent the sound corresponding to VA.
It is no longer used in the Bengali language itself.
