Cardinal: سِتَّة (sitta) Ordinal: سَادِس (sādis) Multiplier: سُدَاسِيّ (sudāsiyy), مُسَدَّس (musaddas) Distributive: سُدَاسَ (sudāsa) Fractional: سُدُس (sudus), سُدْس (suds) |
Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Semitic *šidṯatum.
Pronunciation
[edit]Numeral
[edit]سِتَّة • (sitta) f (masculine سِتّ (sitt))
Usage notes
[edit]- Excepting "one" and "two", all the cardinal numbers may precede or succeed the modified noun or substantive. Prepositive use is more usual, however.
- The cardinal numbers "three" to "nine" exhibit polarity: they differ in gender from the modified noun or substantive. Polarity is also possible even when the number is postposed.
